PBT busted through on the live circuit Monday as Rob "Illini" Gardner chopped Event 8 of the Gold Strike World Poker Open.  Rob entered the final table 3 of 10 with a 386,000 chip stack, and with the blinds at 12k / 24k with 4k antes,  agreed to take the even chop for guaranteed 3rd place money.  The key hand in the event came with 16 left....

"I was in the small blind and had not gotten pocket aces all weekend, I figured they were going to come at just the right time and they did.  The action was folded around to me in the small blind, and I had a real nut in the big blind that had been a shove monkey.  I decided to just complete in the small blind,  he checked the option.  The flop came JJ2 and i checked,  he checked behind.  Turn came a 4, and put a flush draw on the board.  I put a small bet in to make him pay for a flush and he snap shoved.  I instacalled and he flipped over 94.  From that point on the table was scared to mess with me and I was able to limp steal and min raise to accumulate and never looked back.."

Rob"s chop was for a stock on PokerByTrade and investors got a nice triple on their investment.  Rob will be in the WSOPC event in council bluffs Iowa, and the Gulf Coast Poker Classic in Biloxi, MS at the end of August representing PokerByTrade.  Congratz to Rob and his investors!
